Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education is more than just learning—it's about preparing for the future.
STEM education equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills essential for tomorrow's careers.
Students learn to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, bridging the gap between classroom and career.
STEM professionals are solving the world's biggest challenges—from climate change to healthcare innovations.
STEM projects teach teamwork, communication, and leadership—skills that transcend any single discipline.
The FIRST Robotics Competition provides the ultimate engineering and learning competition — combining the excitement of sports with STEM learning.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was founded by Dean Kamen in 1989 with a mission to inspire young people's interest in science and technology. The Robotics Competition brings together teams of high school students, mentors, and sponsors to design, build, and compete with up to 120-pound robots in an intense, professionally-run competition.
Each year, teams receive a new game challenge in January and have just six weeks to design, prototype, build, and test their robots. Students work alongside professional engineers and mentors to create competition-ready machines that can perform complex tasks—from autonomous routines, precision actions to climbing structures, all while collaborating with alliance partners.
"FIRST is more than robots. The robots are a vehicle for students to learn important life skills. Kids often come in not knowing what to expect—of the program nor of themselves. They leave, even after the first season, with a vision, with confidence, and with a sense that they can create their own future." — Dean Kamen, Founder of FIRST
We are a community dedicated to supporting Silver Bay Mariner Robotics (Team 3267) and other FRC teams through mentorship, resources, and advocacy for STEM education.
Founded with a vision to bring world-class robotics education to our region, we support Team 3267 and other FIRST teams by providing resources, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities. We help teams grow into vibrant communities where students discover their passion for engineering, programming, design, and leadership—bringing together diverse talents from mechanical engineers to programmers, from CAD designers to business strategists.
We support teams as they take on the ultimate engineering challenge: designing and building competitive robots in just six weeks. But we're about more than just building robots. We facilitate community STEM outreach, connect teams with mentors, provide resources and funding support, and help represent the values of FIRST everywhere we go.
We compete hard but treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.
We embrace creativity and aren't afraid to try new approaches to solve problems.
We succeed together, supporting each other and leveraging our diverse strengths.
We view every challenge as an opportunity to grow and develop new skills.
We're proud to support robotics teams across the North Shore region. Check out these amazing teams:
Being part of FIRST transforms lives and opens doors to incredible opportunities.
Whether you're a student, mentor, sponsor, or supporter—there's a place for you in supporting FIRST robotics teams.
No experience required! Join our robotics teams. Whether you're interested in engineering, programming, design, media, business, or just wanting to try something new—we'll help you find the right place.
When: Build season runs January through the first competition in March, programmers meet monthly and off-season activities throughout the year
Time Commitment: Flexible—teams work with your schedule
Share your expertise with the teams we support. Your skills in engineering, programming, business, or any professional area can help shape the next generation of innovators while staying connected to cutting-edge technology.
Skills Needed: Engineering, programming, CAD, machining, project management, marketing, fundraising, cookie baking or just enthusiasm!
Support STEM education in our community. Sponsorships help fund robot materials, competition fees, travel, and student opportunities across multiple teams. Gain visibility and make a lasting impact.
Benefits: Tax-deductible donations, community recognition, and the satisfaction of investing in our youth
